Genting Launches Edinburgh Roulette

Genting has the advantage of being an established land-based casino chain with sites across the UK.

So it’s no wonder that some of their most popular tables are dual-play roulette efforts, streamed from the casino floor of some of their busiest physical casinos.

Just this month, they’ve added Edinburgh to that list. Genting’s Fountain Park casino in the Scottish capital is a top-tier venue, and this live streamed roulette table is no different.

Easily playable on desktop and mobile, like the rest of Genting’s dual play tables, Edinburgh Roulette features HD streaming over multiple camera angles and a simple-to-use betting interface.

You can even play from within Fountain Park Casino itself, if you live in or are visiting Edinburgh.

Also available online today is Genting Mayfair Roulette (London), as well as Birmingham and Manchester.

Spin a Win Pays 3920x

Spin a Win is PlayTech’s answer to Evolution Gaming‘s live casino innovation Dream Catcher. It features a similar giant spinning wheel, with various numbers and multipliers on the surface.

Last week, we are reliably informed, the wheel spun onto the 7x bonus multiplier twice, then onto a x2 and finally onto a 40.

This gave a massive total of 98×40 or 3920x the original stake. Paying out over £250k in total on just this one spin, it was definitely a good time for the 47 players who had placed a bet on the 40 segment of the wheel.

However, it’s not quite on the level of Dream Catcher’s record win of 7x7x7x40 that we reported on last year. That one spin paid out over £3 million to 140-or-so lucky players.

Still, you can try out Spin a Win at any casino offering Playtech live games, but we recommend BGO or Betfair Casino.

£15,000 Side Bet City Draw at Leo Vegas

Side Bet City is an interesting new title from Evolution Gaming. Based upon video poker tables, it’s a live game that sees unlimited players take on the pay-table rather than the house.

Players bet on whether a 3-card, five-card or seven-card hand will make a viable poker hand. If it does, bets are paid out depending on how good that hand would be in a game of poker. So far, so simple.

The most unique thing though, is the super radical décor. Totally 80s in style, the retro vibe really must be seen to be believed – and it goes right down the dress and style of the hosts.

So, if you like sultry neon, big hair and poker then this game might be for you!

Side Bet City launched with little fanfare earlier this year, but now Leo Vegas are offering a massive weekly prize draw for anyone who wagers a cumulative £50 or more on this novel table during the month of July.

The top prize each week will be a five-night trip for two to Las Vegas with flights, 5-star hotel and a Grand Canyon tour experience all included. All in all, it’s worth £7000 – and the rest of the £15,000 weekly draw is made up by cash prizes.

Not bad!

125 Companies Interested in Dutch Licencing

A few weeks back we reported that The Netherlands would be opening up their gambling market to foreign operators, and now it seems that promise has finally come true.

This month they opened the bidding process to become one of the European country’s first licenced international operators, and nearly 125 applicants came forward before the deadline on the 21st of July.

Set to open on January 1st 2021, if the new law passes in the Dutch parliament, interested parties will have to work with the Dutch regulator Kansspelautoriteit to snag a licence for this new market.

So far rumours have it that applicants included such big names as Unibet, bWin and PokerStars.

We’ll be sure keep you updated on this story as it develops over the coming years.
