As it happened: Tigers break drought; Roosters, Cowboys salute

Wests Tigers kicked off a slashing Sunday of NRLW action by breaking through for their first win of the season.

With veteran forwards Sarah Togatuki and Kezie Apps leading the way, the Tigers got home 16-12 at Allianz Stadium as the Dragons slumped to a fourth consecutive loss.

The Roosters then chalked up a seventh win on the trot with a 30-14 triumph over the Knights.

With Isabelle Kelly and Keeley Davis grabbing a slice of history with their 50th NRLW appearance the premiers marched on with five tries to three.

The last time the Roosters tasted defeat was Round 5 last year and they look to be well on track to defend their title.

In the final game of the round the Cowboys proved too strong for the Bulldogs as their back five all ran for huge metres and Kirra Dibb called the shots in style.

The Cowboys have now won five games for the season and sit in fourth spot ahead of a trip to Leichhardt Oval in Round 8 to face Wests Tigers.
