Wheelchair Rugby League Australia is proud to announce the appointments of Brett Clark as Head Coach and Cameron Sullivan as Assistant Coach of the Australian Wheelaroos, the national wheelchair rugby league team.
These appointments are effective immediately and extend through to 30 June 2027, encompassing the upcoming international Test Series against England and the preparation and campaign for the 2026 Wheelchair Rugby League World Cup.
Brett Clark brings extensive leadership and international coaching experience to the role, having served as Head Coach of the Wheelaroos since 2019.
Under his guidance, the team achieved a semi-final finish at the 2021 Wheelchair World Cup and secured victory in the 2024 Trans-Tasman Series against New Zealand.
Clark said: “I am thrilled to have been reappointed as the Head Coach of our national team. It’s an honour to be entrusted with leading this exceptional group of athletes.
"Our immediate focus is on preparing for what promises to be a thrilling encounter against England later this year. Looking ahead, the opportunity to lead our team into a World Cup hosted right here in Australia is a truly special privilege.”
Cameron Sullivan joins the national coaching team following his following his impactful tenure as the Head Coach of Queensland Wheelchair Rugby League, where he led a strong State Challenge campaign and helped build a high-performing, inclusive team culture.
With a professional background in sport and allied health, Cameron offers valuable expertise in athlete development, wellbeing, and strategic coaching.
