Genting Malaysia Berhad, the giant global leisure and hospitality company, has made an important step towards the opening of Resorts World Las Vegas after the Nevada Gaming Commission approved the licensing of the parent company and of the top managing officers.
There wasn’t any opposition inside the commission as its members voted unanimously to endorse Genting Malaysia’s project on the Las Vegas strip. The company has invested no less than 4.3 billion dollars into this venue, which is scheduled to open on June 24.
The resort, located on the famous Las Vegas strip, will span across 87 acres and it will include three hotels with a total of 3,506 rooms, plus a huge casino of 117,000 square feet. The casino will treat its guests to a wide range of slots and table games, along with a dedicated poker room and a sportsbook.
The members of the Nevada Gaming Commission had the opportunity to question Kok Thay Lim, the Chairman of the Genting Group, through a virtual hearing as the company head was in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Scott Sibella, the President of Resorts World was also questioned, along with his local management team in Las Vegas.
The Genting executives explained to the commissioners all about the venue’s building’s technology and revealed that the casino will have 1,400 slot machines and 117 table games.
