Evolution Signs New Partnership With SunBet For South African Market

Evolution, the world’s biggest provider of live casino software and content, continues to expand as it reached a new agreement with South African operator SunBet, which is the online betting brand of Sun International Hotel and Casino Group.

The SunBet online sportsbook will now feature most of Evolution’s live dealer games, table games and game shows. The agreement also includes live casino content from Ezugi, a company that was acquired by the Evolution Group.

The deal is set to give SunBet’s customers plenty of choice when it comes to live dealer games, with Evolution classics such as Roulette, Blackjack and Baccarat included in the portfolio.

Moreover, the South African operator will get access to the new generation of online live game shows such as Gonzo’s Treasure Hunt, Crazy Time, Dream Catcher, Lightning Roulette and Deal or No Deal Live.

Sun International Hotel and Casino Group is one of the biggest land-based casino operators in South Africa. The company has modern and well-located casinos in its portfolio but it also owns luxurious five-star hotels and some of the world’s most famous resorts, including the Palace of the Lost City at Sun City.

Despite Sun International’s impressive portfolio of land-based casinos, the coronavirus pandemic has proven that those venues are vulnerable to such threats, so the company decided to strengthen its online presence.

That is why Sun International struck the deal with Evolution, moving into online live dealer games in order to extend the casino experience beyond the land-based venues and normal working hours.

Nitesh Matai, General Manager of Sports Betting at Sun International, admitted that the addition of “the world-class Evolution and Ezugi online live dealer offering” takes their sportsbook’s service “to another level”.

Dean Finder, Chief Executive Officer of Evolution Services SA, added that his company sees great potential in the partnership with SunBet, as the Evolution live dealer solutions “are extremely complementary to the existing Sun International and SunBet offering.”
