Bonus Rounds
Upon a successful bet on the 2 rolls or 4 rolls segment, any winners will get the corresponding number of moves on a giant 3D Monopoly board that takes over the screen.
The dice rolls are done Live in the studio – no RNG dice here. In fact, during our playtest for this review, Evolution had to reroll one of the dice as the result was unclear. This demonstrates how real and live the dice actually are.
Pull a double dice roll, and everyone gets an extra roll. This is important, because each time you land you win a multiplier of your original bet.
They start at 3x, and by the end of the board, as you come to prestigious properties such as Old Kent Road or Mayfair, they can go up to 100x.
Mr Monopoly will also chuck some buildings on the board at the start of the round, that turn the multipliers Green. This usually multiplies the multiplier by a further three or four times, for a maximum return (that we’ve seen) of 300x on the Mayfair square.
As you can imagine – this can lead to some hefty prizes, even on a low bet.
However, that’s not all.
There are also Chance Cards on the board, as well as the Jail (no prize for that roll) and Income Tax spaces that will take a small percentage off your win. Although don’t worry, it won’t take you below zero.
Lastly, you can pull the bonus rolls directly after a Chance multiplication spin. This means all wins are double multiplied!
During out playtest, we saw a round where some of the spaces on the board were paying out 450x the bet. That’s a possible £2250 on a £5 bet – for one roll of the dice.
Not bad at all, proving that, with a bit of luck, Monopoly Live can come with some top-tier pay-out ratios.
How Does Monopoly Wheel Compare to Slots, Roulette and Dream Catcher?
The Monopoly Live Wheel has an overall expected RTP, or Return-to-Player, of 96.23%. This puts it favourably among the higher-end when compared to slots but can’t quite keep up with the lowest house-edge roulette games.
However, the crazy presentation, well-known branding and potential for massive pay-outs elevates Monopoly Live above your standard roulette games.
When compared to Dream Catcher, the huge win potential is actually slightly less. However, the uniquely satisfying 2 or 4 rolls minigame and the addition of Chance Card multipliers and prizes mean gameplay here is fresher and more exciting in our opinion.
At the end of the day, you don’t get much bigger of a pop-culture phenomenon than Hasbro’s Monopoly. Evolution have done the licence proud with an aesthetically brilliant title that plays like a dream and has some fantastic prize opportunities.
Where to Play?
The Monopoly Live Wheel runs 24/7, 365 days a year. You can find it at most online casinos that offer Evolution Gaming Live Dealer games in their collection, including Bet Winner, BitStarz and Unique Casino.
