National Reconciliation Week 2025

National Reconciliation Week

The dates for National Reconciliation Week (NRW) remain the same each year; 27 May to 3 June. These dates commemorate two significant milestones in the reconciliation journey— the successful 1967 referendum, and the High Court Mabo decision respectively.

The NRW theme for 2025, Bridging Now to Next, reflects the ongoing connection between past, present and future.

Bridging Now to Next calls on all Australians to step forward together, to look ahead and continue the push forward as past lessons guide us.

How can you support?

Through educating yourself and others around you, together we can support the reconciliation journey.

Events are run throughout the week for Australians to learn about shared histories, cultures and achievements. To view the 2025 National Reconciliation Week events,

NRL & NRLW Players on National Reconciliation Week

NRL and NRLW players have highlighted National Reconciliation Week 2025 as a powerful time for education, cultural pride, and inspiring the next generation—emphasizing the importance of uplifting Indigenous youth, celebrating Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander heritage, and recognising Australia’s deep cultural roots.

“Working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people, particularly teenagers, I see how important it is to be a source of support. National Reconciliation Week strengthens my commitment to mentor with positivity, to uplift our young people and to help them believe they can do whatever they want to do” - Tallisha Harden

"National Reconciliation Week is important to me because it's an opportunity for people to get educated about Indigenous culture and an opportunity for me to celebrate my culture and people."  -Dylan Lucas

"National Reconciliation Week is for Australians to be proud of living in this country with the oldest living continuing culture in the world” -Shaquai Mitchell
