Jumbo Interactive, a leading digital retailer of national jackpot lotteries and charity lotteries in Australia, has announced that their white-label website designed for Lotterywest is now fully operational.

The two companies reached an agreement on November 13, the first such deal with a government-owned lottery for Jumbo Interactive. The contract between Lotterywest and Jumbo stipulates that the private operator has to set up a white-label website for the state-owned lottery, and in exchange the company will receive a 9.5% service fee for every customer transaction processed through its technology.

Jumbo will also take care of customer support on Lotterywest’s behalf, while the government-owned lottery will keep the marketing side under its control. The agreement has a duration of three years, with an option to extend it automatically for another three, but the maximum overall duration is ten years.

Jumbo Interactive has been operating the popular Australian website ozlotteries.com, a platform which processes more than AUD$150 million in lottery tickets sales per year and has around 2 million clients.

Customers from Western Australia did have access to this portal, but now Oz Lotteries players will be able to migrate to the new white label Lotterywest site if they want to.

The white-label website was scheduled for delivery in December, and Jumbo did manage to stick to the terms of the contract. About this achievement, Mike Veverka, Chief Executive Officer of Jumbo Interactive, said: “We’re very pleased to have delivered this project within the scheduled time frame.

The successful completion was the result of the excellent working relationship between the Lotterywest and Jumbo project teams who were both focused on ensuring an uninterrupted first class customer experience.”

Expanding into the British Market

Earlier this month, Jumbo Interactive made an important step towards conquering the British market as the company was granted a remote gambling software operating licence by the British Gambling Commission.

The license allows the Australian company to sell its proprietary software-as-a-service online platform to operators in the United Kingdom. Jumbo already had a British license for the external lottery manager operating side of the business, through Gatherwell, its subsidiary in Britain.

Now Jumbo Interactive will be able to make available its dual offering in the United Kingdom market: the software-as-a-service solution for online platforms and a managed charities solution.
